The Hyundai Getz (Modernity) was one of Korea’s very first hatch-back offerings to the world. It was purchased in the year 2005 in Nigeria. Two days afterwards it had it’s maiden trip to the small but very beautiful state of Cross Rivers ( Calabar) for a family function. For its maiden trip the Hyundai Getz could seat up to four people very comfortably and it’s medium spaced hatchback trunk could very well carry all the luggage that we put into it.
This very model of the Hyundai Getz came standard with a 1.4 Litre engine with 14 inch alloy rims, air-conditioning, a factory installed radio/casette player, ABS, front and rear power electric window controls, Central lock, cloth seat trim, steering wheel adjustment lever, body colored bumpers, a full size spate tyre, driver and passenger airbags, and a 5 speed manual transmission.
Pros and Cons of the Hyundai Getz
- The Hyundai Getz is a nice and easy to drive four door hatchback, it absorbs bumps very well and yet also had excellent fuel economy.
- It’s very agile to drive with it’s light weight steering and in terms of handling oh!! What a joy it was to drive in the bends and around corners.
- Cheap interior, noise intrusion into the cabin interior on the highway.
- Parts were very expensive to purchase in Nigeria as at the year 2005 compared to its Toyota and Honda rivals whose parts were ever always readily available in every nook and cranny.
